About Me

I am a computer engineering graduate from Memorial University of Newfoundland, with expertise in software engineering, security, and infrastructure management. With a passion for exploring new technologies, I enjoy tinkering in my home lab to stay up-to-date with the latest developments. Currently working as a software developer at Frequentis Canada, I design, develop, and deploy secure and scalable software solutions by integrating best practices in software development, security, and infrastructure automation. As an innovative problem solver, I am committed to leveraging my skills to create cutting-edge solutions that transform the way we interact with technology. Here are a few technologies I've been working with recently:
  • Ansible
  • Docker
  • ESP-IDF
  • Flask
  • .NET
  • Proxmox

Experience

Software Developer - Frequentis
Nov 2022 - present
I am currently working as a software developer at Frequentis Canada in Ottawa, CA. I am designing, developing, and maintaining software applications and infrastructure that are critical to the safety and efficiency of air traffic control operations.
Junior Programmer Analyst (CO-OP) - InnovMarine
Winter 2021 and Fall 2021
As a Junior Programmer Analyst at Innovmarine, I developed and maintained software solutions for the shipbuilding industry, automated workflow operations, and achieved significant performance improvements for existing solutions using various programming languages and frameworks such as .NET Core, Python, SQL, and VBA.

Projects

Killick-1 CubeSat - Mission Control, Team Lead
CSA CubeSat C
Killick-1 CubeSat - Mission Control, Team Lead
As part of the Canadian Space Agency’s Canadian CubeSat Project, I worked on Memorial University's GNSS Reflectometry CubeSat which measures sea ice. My responsibilities included designing and developing the on-board computer's flight software in C following the MISRA guidelines.
Kafa ‐ Thermostat Enhancer
Python Flask Docker
Kafa ‐ Thermostat Enhancer
My teammate and I won first place in MakeUofT, which is Canada’s largest makeathon, featuring 60 teams and over 150 participants in 2021. I led the electrical and software design of our project, which was a plug-and-play thermostat enhancer that does not require installation or guidance from an expert. It was built using JavaScript, Python, Flask, MySQL, and Docker.
The Revengeance
C++ SFML 2.1 ECS
The Revengeance
As part of a 4th year computer science course, I built a game from the engine up, using modern C++ and SFML2.1. The project was the best submission in the class. It was implemented using an Entity‑Component‑System architecture allowing for great design flexibility, and featured pathfinding algorithms, ray tracing, and the use of shaders.
